Salar de Uyuni

Salar de Uyuni is a salt lake which is very unusual, because this lake is the largest salt lake in the world, approximately 10 582 km2. Salar de Uyuni is located in the Department of Potosi and Oruro, near the crest of the Andes, south-eastern Bolivia. And expected, Salar de Uyuni contains 10 billion tons of salt, and less than about 25,000 tons of salt is obtained each year.
