Caddo Lake

Caddo Lake is a lake that looks like a swamp that will make you stunned. Because of this lake is not completely submerged, so the plant here is not so dead and so alive. This lake looks terrible but it also looks incredible beauty. This lake has an area of ​​approximately 25,400 hectares (10,300 acres) of wetlands and is located on the border between Texas and Louisiana, in the north and south of Harrison County Marion County in Texas and western Caddo Parish in Louisiana.


This lake is a protected wetland under the international RAMSAR agreement and features the world's largest cypress forest. Caddo is one of the few Texas' non-natural oxbow lake and is the second largest in the South, but was artificially altered by the addition of a dam in 1900. Here are some of the habitat of living creatures, including the southeastern United States conifers, cypress trees growing in moist habitats, and some individuals can live for more than 1,000 tahun.Baldcypresses, which thrive in marshy habitats.
