Chebika

Chebika is a very beautiful mountain oasis and the most viewed people without people knowing it. Oasis is located in the foothills of Djebel el Negueb, in Kairouan Governorate, southern Tunisia. Oasis is also known as Qasr el-Shams ("Palace of the Sun" in Arabic), because exposure to the sun. First there was once a place in the village, but because of catastrophic flooding, and the village was abandoned, precisely in 1969.


Because of its beauty, Oasis was once used as a location filming Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. And even this oasis name was eventually taken from one of the characters in the film that is Chewbacca.
So I guess you will not regret to come to this place. Because it's become one of the resorts in the country.

Yueyaquan Dunhuang

Yueyaquan Dunhuang is a crescent-shaped lake is very famous. The lake is located in an oasis, exactly 6 miles south of the city of Dunhuang in Gansu Province, China. And now the lake has become one of the popular tourist destinations in China.

But in recent years this lake had become a problem, which is already starting to dry up and down more than 25 feet. One of the factors that cause this to happen because the population is increasing, so the lake has become frequently used. Following the research in the last 40 years.
In 1960, the average lake depth of 4 to 5 meters, with a maximum depth of 7.5 meters (25 feet).
In the early 1990s, the area has shrunk by only 1.37 acres (5500 m2) with an average depth of 0.9 meters (maximum 1.3 meters).
But in 2006, local government sibantu with the federal government began to charge towards the lake and restore its depth. So for later this lake was the depth and size has grown back.


National Monument

National Monument or called Monas is a very famous monument in Indonesia. Everyone in that State will be very aware about the monument on this one. It lies right in the middle of Merdeka Square, Jakarta. Monas becomes very important because it is a most important monument. Monument as high as 132 meters (433 feet) was built to commemorate the resistance and the Indonesian people's struggle to win independence from the colonial Dutch East Indies.

Construction of this monument began on August 17, 1961 under the orders of President Sukarno, and was opened to the public on July 12, 1975. Additionally Monas became famous for his top tip of the monument is crowned with flames form a coated sheet of gold which symbolizes the spirit of struggle burning. And now the monument became one tourist destination in Indonesia, both local and foreign tourists.

Turpan or Turfan or Tulufan

Turpan or Turfan or Tulufan, is an oasis city of county-level city located in the Prefecture Turpan, in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region People's Republic of China. Located approximately 8 miles west of the ruins of Jiaohe city. Its population was 254,900 at the end of 2003. Turpan has long been a center of fertile oasis and an important trading center to the southeast.



Huacachina

Huacachina is a village in the Ica region, in southwestern Peru, and built around a small natural lake in the desert. This place is known by the name Oasis of the Americas, and is a popular resort among local and foreign tourists.

The origin of this place according to local story that circulated was that the lake was formed when the young hunter disturbing a beautiful princess who was in the shower. The daughter immediately went away leaving a pool of water that later became lakes.

Aral Sea

Aral Sea is a lake that is very famous in his country. This lake lies between Kazakhstan in the north and Karakalpakstan, an autonomous region of Uzbekistan in the south. Formerly one of the four largest lakes in the world with an area of ​​68,000 square kilometers (26,300 sq mi), the Aral Sea has shrunk steadily since the 1960s after the river feeding it diverted by Soviet irrigation projects.

In 2007 declining to 10% of its original size, splitting into four lakes - the North Aral Sea and the eastern and western basins of South Sea once much larger and one smaller lake Aral between North and South Aral Sea.
In 2008, the water level in the lake has increased by 24 m (79 feet) from the lowest level in 2007.
In 2009, southeast of the lake had disappeared and west of the lake retreated to a thin strip at the northwest tip of the southern former.

At present according to some scientists, the shrinking of the Aral Sea has been called "one of the worst disasters on the planet environment"
